INNOVATEC: a strong commitment to R&D and Innovation

Brief description of the organization: INNOVATEC is an independent Spanish firm, offering knowledge and expertise to perform and coordinate Research, Development and innovation projects. It was established in 1999 as a Spin-Off from the Technology Transfer Unit of the University of Alcalá (Madrid, Spain).

INNOVATEC focus has been directed specifically to biomedical R&D field, in the following areas of expertise:

• Evaluation of R&D projects (national, European and international).
• R&D management tools.
• Follow-up and evaluation of R&D activities.
• Coordination of R&D projects.
• Development of technology transfer programmes.
• Design of in-house plans and strategies for promotion and financing of R&D.
• Set-up and coordination of scientific events.
• Advisory services for participating in National and European R&D public funding programmes.
• Technology audits and Technology watch.
• Management of R&D external collaborations.

INNOVATEC has been working mainly in the field of Human Health and Biotechnology and specially has strengthened its expertise towards the coordination of R&D. Our work is based on wide R&D multidisciplinary expertise, desk research techniques, maximum use of available information technologies, and our flexibility to work on a variety of projects.

One of our main values is the highly qualified and skilled personnel that work in INNOVATEC. Particularly we have personnel with long experience as Expert Evaluators of European and national R&D projects and a strong background in Development projects having wide expertise in projects with developing countries.

As an expert in R&D management INNOVATEC is aiming towards proposals preparation for European FP7-Health projects.
